Reconocimiento: IPPA Transition and Developing Economies Award (2021)
Estimados colegas y amigos:
Deseo compartir con ustedes mi satisfacción por haber recibido el IPPA Transition and Developing Economies Award, que otorga la International Public Policy Association. Esta distinción reconoce «la contribución extraordinaria de un académico senior al desarrollo del campo de las políticas públicas y/o la administración pública, dentro del contexto de un país en desarrollo o en transición». La celebración de este reconocimiento tendrá lugar durante el 5° Congreso Internacional de Políticas Públicas a celebrarse en Barcelona del 5 al 9 de julio próximos.
Considero que este es, también, un reconocimiento a la madurez alcanzada por estas disciplinas en América Latina, a las que ustedes tanto contribuyen, por lo que también les extiendo mi agradecimiento por integrar mi comunidad académica de referencia.

Oscar Oszlak
JURY EXPLANATION
Professor Oszlak holds an emeritus teaching position at the University of Buenos Aires (the Argentinian National University) and has an established record of service to the profession as well as of theoretical and empirical scholarly publications directly related to public administration and public policy, through which he has done a very significant contribution to these fields, mainly in relation to Latin America. The supporting statement for his nomination was co-signed by 14 recognized professors from various countries of Latin America, the United States and Europe. Such statement extensively presented professor Oszlak´s merits, among them the previous granting of other important awards by the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA), the Argentinian Senate and the City of Buenos Aires.
